At the end of her HAP studio scholarship, Joana Tischkau is opening up her personal artistic record archive and sharing a selection of recordings that have had a decisive influence on her work to date. Together with her long-standing cooperation partner and sound designer Frieder Blume, she has produced exclusive dubplates of his musical compositions. (1)

The soundtracks to Tischkau's stage works can be heard on them. They are exemplary for the artistic fusion of original and reinterpretation. The exhibition combines conceptual starting points, originals, samples, remixes, original compositions and visual reference objects. This creates a space in which the different levels of inspiration, transformation and counter-narrative meet and enter into a dialog with each other.

The archive includes pieces of music from the following stage works:
BEING PINK AIN'T EASY (2019)
KARNEVAL (2022)
BLACKROI (2023)
COLONASTICS (2023)
LAST NIGHT A DJ TOOK MY LIFE (2024)
ICH NEHM DIR ALLES WEG - EIN SCHLAGERBALLETT (2024)

Many of the original records come from the Deutsches Museum für Schwarze Unterhaltungskultur und Black Music (2020) and complement the archive with a culturally and historically significant collection.
